Top five ways to declutter your mind
Are you one of those people who enjoy the quiet night, not exactly quiet, just listening to crickets, when there is no power at home. No WiFi, no charging in the laptop. A moment to completely switch off not by choice, but by external factors. Did you enjoy that tranquility?
Doesn’t it feel like listening to your favourite songs on Spotify without ads? And what do you do in that candle light?( Don’t drain your phone battery with the torch). Dinner with your loved one? A long rant/ banter with your family? Sex?
Okay to the people who live alone, isn’t it a moment to just fall flat on your fresh bedsheet, take a deep breath and close your eyes to relax, away from the screen. No. You don’t shut your eyes and overthink your life, the chaos, the deadlines, that breakup, that argument you lost a year ago.
Take this moment to unwind. How,you ask me? I don’t know. I just said top five ways to get attention. No one exactly knows how because we’re bound by different circumstances. No two people have the same issues.
Here’s a few things on top of my mind though. Take a power nap. It can recharge you. Remember the moment you laughed your ass off. Remember the time you were running along the beach waves. Remember the look on your face when you tried that sexy outfit in the mall. Clear your bed or your desk if it’s messy. Take a walk outside. Cook in the candle light if possible.
Say out loud all the tasks you finished for the day. Appreciate yourself for the same. Express your gratitude to things and beings making your life easier or happier even for a moment. Just spread your hands wide open and acknowledge that quiet moment. Just breathe.
Okay the power is back. I have to get my lazy ass off the bed and finish the work. I hope you enjoy the quiet and take time to declutter when the opportunity presents itself. Will you?
